AGRIWATER
How it works
Agricultural grade super absorbent polymer is made up of a set of polymer chains that run parallel to each other and are regularly linked together by cross-linking agents, forming a network.
When water comes into contact with one of these chains, it is drawn into the molecule by osmosis. The water quickly migrates into the polymer network where it is stored. This is how the super absorbent polymer powder turns into a water gel.
Since the absorption capacity of this water gel is higher than that of the soil but lower than that of the plant roots, the water absorbed by the super absorbent polymer will be released into the plants when it dries.
Tips: the specific retention of agricultural SAP is 1.3-1.4 MPa and the specific retention of the roots is about 1.6-1.7 MPa
In countries with good water quality, SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer) is distributed in powder form, but in water-stressed countries where there is no water, this is a problem.
Improve plant growth
Water and nutrients are continuously available in the root zone for optimal plant uptake.
Reduce losses
Limits water and nutrient losses due to leaching.
Improve soil condition
Improves the physical properties of compacted soils through good aeration.
Saves on irrigation
Increases the water holding capacity of the soil for several years. Irrigation frequency can be reduced by 50%.
Protecting the environment
Protects the environment against drought and groundwater pollution.
Reduce evaporation
Reduces soil evaporation.
